An English newspaper has reported NAB has sent 150 cases of corruption to Supreme Court of Pakistan comprising almost all the supremos of political parties having apparently embezzled billions of rupees. For several years the cases against these heroes of corruption have been pending due to several reasons of omission and commission. Now due to presence of superior judiciary and the press NAB has been forced to go public with the information of megascams. It is strange that while we have not made a single megadam which would have given us several thousand MW of power and MAF of water to support our industry and agriculture as also domestic consumers.
The mind-boggling cases of corruption show that the present system of govt has gone stale like an inedible fruit as far as people are concerned while the top leaders have gobbled billions of rupees worth fresh fruit themselves. People have become poorer while the human crocodiles have become fatter which can invite trouble by starving masses. It is up to the armed forces to now use their soft power to set the new goals of integrity and development based on using local resources like water, wind and sun instead of importing coal for power generation that would be a way for more corruption and scams.
