ISLAMABAD:

A two-member team of Scotland Yard police departed for the United Kingdom from Pakistan on Wednesday, after questioning Moazzam Ali Khan, the accused in Dr Imran Farooq murder case.

The team also met FIA and Interior ministry officials to gather ‘relevant information’, according to a senior interior ministry official.

The team arrived in Pakistan’s capital on June 29 to quiz Khan who was arrested by law enforcement agencies in Karachi this year for being the key suspect in Imran Farooq’s murder case.

While the interior ministry’s spokesperson remained tight lipped about the ‘sensitive case, four senior FIA and interior ministry officials claimed that the government of Pakistan did not allow the visiting team to question Kashif Khan, another accused in the murder case.
