Minister for Information Senator Pervaiz Rashid Tuesday said no corruption case framed during the Pervez Musharraf regime had been proved against any leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
“Not a single case, framed with malafide intention, could be proved especially against any political leader belonging to PML-N,” the minister said in a statement. He said there was no doubt that the objective behind these cases was to get political gains and damage reputation of opponents.
He said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had presented a list of corruption cases before the Supreme Court which were framed during Musharraf’s tenure. He said people voted in favour of the PML-N in the general elections even after framing of these cases.
