PM assures full support to meet PAF requirements during air chief’s briefing on operational preparedness, future needs
Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Saturday morning and discussed professional matters relating to Pakistan Air Force.
According to sources, the air chief briefed the prime minister about state of operational preparedness of the air force, its plans for modernisation and challenges in the foreseeable future in view of induction plans of 4th generation aircraft in the neighbourhood.
The prime minister appreciated the role of PAF in defence of the country including during Operation Zarb-e-Azb where it handed down a severe blow to the terrorists. He assured that the government would meet all the requirements of PAF despite resource constraints.
On the occasion, PM Sharif said the government was alive to the situation and would do everything possible to bolster defence of the frontiers of the motherland.
