Not all Bollywood hunks can move like jagger, Hrithik certainly can.

With his debut in movie Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, he proved that giving an electrifying performance is not a big deal for him — seems like the man was born to do that. His iconic performance in Ik Pal Ka Jeena remained a favorite dance number for quite some time.

This time we will be seeing him hoofing it to the recreated version of Dheere Dheere Se from the 1990 superhit film Aashiqui. The original track was composed by Nadeem Shravan and was sung by Kumar Sanu. The new version has been composed and sung by Yo Yo Honey Singh, as reported by Times of India.

Bhushan Kumar, son of Gulshan Kumar (producer of Aashiqui)  is making this song as a tribute to his father on the film’s 25th anniversary. Gulshan Kumar was shot dead in 1997.

When Bhushan met Yo Yo Honey Singh, the singer told Bhushan how immensely he respected his late father and even dreamt of working with him. Honey Singh had read somewhere that Dheere dheere se was Gulshan’s favourite song thus he wanted to recreate it for him.

Bhushan then approached Hrithik and the moment after listening to the song he agreed upon dancing to it without a second thought, which is unlike him, for we know that Hritihik does not do anything without sleeping on it.

As to why Bhushan chose this particular song, he explained, “I was just 12 then in 1990, when I was mad about the music of Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya. In those days, the trend was to release film music months in advance and so, Aashiqui music too was released four months before the release of the film. Since my father Gulshan Kumar had produced the film, we had access to the music much before it was in the market. I remember whenever I went with papa in his car, I would take my favourite cassette and play it. So I started playing Maine Pyar Kiya that was not our music, but of a competitor. Papa gave me the Aashiqui cassette and told me, ‘Listen to this. This is from our film.’ I started hearing it and till today, that album remains on my playlist. I remember him telling me that his most favourite song ever was Dheere Dheere Se.”

Both Hrithik and Honey Singh generally charge exorbitant sums for their services but they are doing this song gratis.

‘I am doing it for Gulshan ji. That will be my only reason to dance to it,” said Hrithik Roshan. While Hrithik and Yo Yo Honey Singh are both doing it for free, Bhushan is doing it only for emotional reasons.

This is the first time Hrithik will be dancing on a recreated version of an old song. The song will be shot in Turkey and all the money that would be made from it would be sent to charity.
