A suspected al Qaeda supporter was taken into custody during a security operation near Jinnah Hospital on Saturday. The suspect was allegedly involved in funding the Afghan Taliban and spreading sectarian hate material.
According to details, Hassan Zaheer was wanted for assisting four terrorists financially and medically in 2010 in Township area. Zaheer had then fled to North Waziristan but returned some while ago to Lahore.
Hundreds of thousands of rupees in cash, jihadi literature and other material were found in the possession of Zaheer.
