Acting president and Senate Chairman Raza Rabbani has said that the ongoing military operation Zarb-e-azb was yielding effective results and it has broken the back of terrorists.

While talking to UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres, who called on him at the Presidency late on Tuesday, Rabbani said that the government of Pakistan and its people have given respect to Afghan refugees like their own citizens and considered them  their brethren.  “Respectable return of Afghan refugees to their homeland is our top priority,” he said.

Both the leader exchanged views on matters related to refugees and ongoing operation against terrorists in the country.

Guterres said Pakistan had pursued a vibrant strategy against terrorism and its role against terrorism could not be overlooked.  The People of Pakistan have demonstrated unprecedented patience while ensuring war against terrorism, he added.
