Classes suffered disruptions at the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad after university employees locked-up the academic block to protest against the non-recognition of their demands.

The university staffers including daily-wagers have given a three-day, deadline to university administration to sort out their demands, otherwise they will go on an indefinite strike.

The protesting staff raised slogans against the university administration and the vice-chancellor, accusing them of dilly-dallying on meeting their genuine demands.

The protesting employees demanded regularization of daily-wagers, release of marriage funds for staff and termination of an agreement to sell university land to a private firm.

They said that they will resume their protest again on Monday, if their demands were not met.
