Kaghan Highway was blocked due to a landslide on Saturday, creating problems for tourists and dwellers of various areas of the valley.
Sources said that a big mass of land fell on Kaghan Highway near Kiwai Bridge resultantly the road was blocked. Long queues of vehicles were witnessed on both sides of blockage and hundreds of people including tourists and dwellers hailing from different areas of the valley were stranded.
Army, highway authorities and local people have started the efforts to clear the road for traffic. Kaghan Highway is the only land routine connecting the scenic valley with Balakot and other areas of the country and hundreds of tourists from across the country travel on it daily.
