Newly appointed Auditor General of Pakistan Rana Asad Amin allegedly jump-started into violating the orders of the country’s top court as he appointed junior officers by removing the senior officers from the concerned posts.
As soon as AGP Rana took over the charge of his office, he appointed Fozia Saleem Khan DG Pakistan Revenues (PR) Karachi on OPS in place of Siraj Mustafa Jokhio. Kashif Ahmed Noor also has been appointed as DG Audit, Works Islamabad on OPS.
DG Audit Sindh Ghulam Akbar Sohu has been replaced with a junior officer Ghulam Muhammed Memon. This was not all; Shahid Gul Qureshi, Syed Gulzar Hasnain, Rukhsana Gillani and Zahid Rashid have been deprived of their postings.
The officers alleged that AGP Rana unduly appointed junior officers on demands and recommendations, adding the AGP should not violate the Supreme Court’s orders.
