The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday dismissed a plea challenging appointment of Punjab University (PU) Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran as professor in 1990.
PU legal advisor Malik Awais Khalid Advocate while appearing before Justice Ejazul Hasan pleaded that the VC had retired in 2011 and his appointment was being challenged after 25 years. He submitted that appointment order of the PU VC as professor was as per rules and regulations and a similar petition had already been dismissed earlier.
After hearing arguments, Justice Ejaz dismissed the writ petition as petitioner Dr Aurangzeb Alamgir withdrew it.
