Minister for Labour and Manpower Punjab Raja Ashfaq Sarwar on Sunday left for Qatar on a four day visit for export of skilled workforce.
Talking to APP prior to his departure, he said: “Initially Pakistan plans to export 150,000 skilled workforce for Qatar’s development in next three years”. He said three key government organisations were currently engaged to support the labour export to Qatar as well as private sector which also includes technical education and vocational training authority Punjab, Punjab vocational training council and Punjab skill development fund.
How about looking to educate our workforce so we are no longer a nation of taxi drivers, labourers?
The Punjab government is only interested in it's hair brained schemes such as free laptops, yellow cabs and metro bus schemes.
Education and health are left to wither.
