PTI chief Imran Khan’s wife says ‘we all are guilty if a single child is on street and away from their school and home’
Reham Khan, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, vowed on Saturday to work for street children and give them better living conditions.
Addressing a ceremony for the street children, she said that we all are guilty if a single child is on street and away from their school and home.
Khan stressed on the need to work for the rights of the children, saying, “We all must do something as we all are responsible.”
“Children are our future hence it is our responsibility to give them better conditions to live in,” she said.
She stated that minors should not be neglected at any cost and urged the local administration to develop a strategy for them.
“If any one kid is found wandering on the road, the whole society is answerable for the oversight,” she said.
“Our society and country cannot move towards development and progress when we are divided. The national institutions of the country should unify and support each other to work for the betterment of the motherland,” she asserted.
“The future of our children should not be tossed in the garbage drum. We should work together for the growth and rights of children,” added Reham Khan.
She said she is ready to provide her services for them and willing to visit the place anywhere, it is located, as the future of the country connects with the youth and children, said Reham Khan.
The country and society cannot develop without protecting the rights of children she had stressed. People travelling in tinted mirror cars cannot feel poverty, she had said.
Meanwhile, Reham Khan also posed for a picture with the child labourers and expressed happiness over the fact that she was with them.
