Liquid Propane Gas (LPG) marketing companies have raised the tariff of LPG prices by Rs 5 per kg on Friday.

New prices will be implemented from Friday on wards. New tariff increases price of domestic cylinder from Rs 30 to Rs 40, whereas the increase in commercial cylinder is up to Rs 160.

According to the press release by “LPG Distribution Association, Pakistan”, the demand of LPG was very low in last two months due to the low prices of petrol, hence, there was import of LPG.

Irfan Khokhar, Chairman All Pakistan LPG distribution Companies, requested the government to stock LPG for month of Ramzan to ensure continuous supply of LPG to poor consumers.

He added that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) should notify the reasonable price and strongly check and balance the marketing companies’ prices.
