ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif left here Wednesday on a two-day official tour of Turkmenistan.
The Prime Minister would hold one-on-one meeting with the President of Turkmenistan, in addition to leading Pakistani side in delegation-level talks.
A number of MoUs/ Agreements relating to bilateral cooperation, trade and economy would also be signed during the visit.
Turkmen President would also host a banquet (Dinner) in honour of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Ministers for Commerce, Petroleum and Water and Power and Special Assistant to PM, Tariq Fatemi.
On Thursday the Prime Minister would go directly to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on two-day official visit.
In his pre-departure statement the Prime Minister said that Pakistan attaches great importance to enhancing its relations with Central Asian Republics.
Government has a vision of increasing energy, trade and rail and road links with Central Asian states, he added.
