Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said that there was no revolution in the life of a common man despite tall claims of the government.

Speaking at an Ulema convention in Islamabad on Sunday, Haq said Pakistan needs to have a positive change. After defense, Pakistan should spend more on education, he said. He said that JI would support every step aimed at development and restoration of peace.

“A group made political appointments in Karachi police,” he said, adding that efforts should be made to depoliticize civil law enforcement agencies. He said that innocent women were killed in the deadly bus attack in Karachi.

The JI leader further said that he was yet to announce his party’s support for the upcoming election of Multan.
