ISLAMABAD:

Islamabad has demanded London to hand over separatist Baloch leaders Harbyiar Marri Baloch and Brahamdagh Bugti to Pakistan in exchange for Imran Farooq murder suspect Muazzam Ali Khan, according to local media sources.

A deman was made in a meeting between Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar and Commander Richard Walton, Head of Counter Terrorism Command (CTC) of Metropolitan Police, who called him on Tuesday to discuss the murder, sources revealed.

Farooq, one of the founding fathers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was found murdered near his home in North London on September 16, 2010.

Dr Farooq was murdered as he was returning home after finishing work at a local pharmacy. He was attacked outside his home in Edgware, according to reports.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, Farooq was pronounced dead. An autopsy determined the cause of death as being head trauma and stab wounds to the neck. The suspect(s) had fled the scene leaving behind a five-inch knife and a house-brick used to commit the crime, authorities stated.
