KARACHI:
Police officials have been investigation DSP Zulfiqar Zaidi’s murder and found similarities between his killing and that of DSP Bin Qasim’s killing, a senior police official told a local media outlet on Sunday, according to sources.
DSP Zaidi was gunned down with his driver on Saturday, in Shah Faisal Colony, according to reports.
Initial investigations revealed that four men on two motorcycles gunned down DSP Fatah Sangri while DSP Zaidi was also killed in a similar fashion by four gunmen on two motorbikes.
About the possible motive of attacks, police state that since they have been active in their fight against terrorism, the police officers’ murder could be a reaction by banned groups, authorities stated.
