Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Daniyal Aziz Saturday said the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) report had rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s election rigging allegations in NA-122 constituency.

Addressing a news conference here along with PML-N leader Zahid Hamid, Daniyal said that NADRA had in fact validated the stance of the PML-N. He said that according to the report, no used and un-used counterfoils were found, which had not been allocated to the constituency, adding that over 73,000 thumb impressions of voters were matched with their fingerprint data with NADRA.

“ Similarly, the detailed decision of election tribunal about PTI’s rigging allegation in NA-125 further endorsed PML-N’s stand and turns down the PTI’s charges of rigging,” he said, adding that the tribunal had categorically stated that it found no evidence of rigging by the winning candidate or his party workers. There was nothing which could be accepted as proof, he added.

Daniyal said that PTI Chairman Imran, during his 126-day sit-in, had misled the people by giving wrong statements that the ballot bags of NA-122 were missing. He said the bags of all 270 polling stations of the constituency were in custody of the polling staff. “All bags containing ballot papers are available in NA-122,” he added.
