NAP being implemented in letter and spirit: Shuja Khanzada

The National Action Plan (NAP) to counter terrorism is being thoroughly implemented in Punjab, said Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada while talking to journalists in Rawalpindi on Friday.

He said all institutions are playing their due role to ensure implementation of the NAP.

The minister said complete details of the seminary students and their teachers have been finalised. He said 13,804 religious seminaries have so far been registered in Punjab.

He said that cases have also been registered against facilitators of terrorists. He said over 800 facilitators of the terrorists have been arrested.

He said about 15,000 cases have been registered under the NAP as a result of which over 15,000 suspects have been arrested.

The minister said challan against 11,961 accused has been presented before the court. He said 1,525 cases have been disposed of under NAP.
