There was an interesting exchange between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan over the reason Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit had been earlier postponed, according to Geo News.

“When the Chinese president went to meet parliamentarians during the joint-session, Sharif followed him. Just prior to the PTI Chairman Imran Khan stepping forward to shake the Chinese president’s hand, Sharif remarked that he (Khan) should inform the Chinese president that his earlier visit was postponed due to the PTI sit-in,” the news outfit reported.

“Imran Khan replied to PM Sharif that the Chinese president’s visit had not been delayed due to the sit-in and had this been the case, President Jinping would have visited Pakistan four months earlier when the sit-in had ended,” it added.
