The intelligence agencies on Tuesday apprehended an activist of banned outfit from a private university who was shifted to some undisclosed place for interrogation.
According to police sources, intelligence agencies on a tip off raided the hostel of University of Management and Technology where Qari Shahryar was arrested whereas banned material and hundreds of books were confiscated from his possession.
Sharyar, president of a banned outfit in Punjab, used to provide banned literature to the students whereas according to station house officer (SHO), the culprit was continuously brainwashing new students.
The UMT’s spokesman denied having any kind of link of felon with the university.
