Police apprehend woman for illegally grabbing property

The Lahore police on Monday arrested a woman for illegally grabbing the property in Defence area and also filed a case against her for misleading the investigation officer.

The suspect, Khadija Bibi, was taken into the custody over the statement of house owner accusing her of grabbing his property by showing her identity as a staff officer of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz.

The investigation officer interrogated the accused during which she confessed to have told a lie of being a staff officer of Maryam Nawaz as she wanted to take hold over the property.

Moreover, police sources told that a case has also been registered against her.

He said that the visit of Chinese delegates from Qinghai province indicated that Chinese business community was focusing on Pakistan in general and Punjab in particular for strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations.

  1. Adverse possession of property in Pakistan in not a new concept. People have been doing this year since Pakistan was formed originally. Thankfully common sense will prevail and justice will be served or so we hope.
