The National Electric Power Regulation Authority (NEPRA) Wednesday approved the tariff of Nandipur power project. Tariff has been set at 11 rupees 30 paisas per unit. Total cost of the project is estimated to be 45 billion 300 million rupees.

The NEPRA has approved the budget of 45 billion 300 million rupees in lieu of a 69 billion rupees budget for the 425 Megawatt Nandipur project.

The NEPRA has also refused to approve budget of Rs 8 crore for the purpose of documentary and advertisement on the behalf of prime minister. The NEPRA has refused to put the price of delay of three years in project making onto the customers.

The reason given by NEPRA is that the multiple documents elaborating the expenses of Nandipur projects were not complete.
