PML-N is here to serve, says Shahbaz

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government has served the masses selflessly during the last seven years and effective steps are being taken to cope with the challenges being faced by the country, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif while talking to office-bearers of PML-N who called on him at Chief Minister’s Secretariat on Friday.

Shahbaz said that the last year’s sit-ins and politics of protest have caused huge loss to national economy. He said that energy, infrastructure and other projects with China were delayed due to sit-ins and sit-ins created hindrance in the journey of development and prosperity of the country. He said that sit-ins further increased the miseries of common man.

“Although the country has been rid of sit-ins and uncertainty yet the after-effects will be long lasting,” he said, adding, “The government has again started the journey of development and we are moving forward with new spirit and determination.”

CHINIOT-RAJWA RESERVES A BLESSING:

He said that authentication of precious mineral resources in Chiniot-Rajwa is a great gift of Almighty Allah for Pakistan. He said that the government has saved precious mineral reserves from the corruption from previous governments. He said that during dictatorial era, former rulers of Punjab tried to commit dacoity on this project and this precious treasure was sold to a so-called company at throwaway prices but the current government foiled this effort.

He said that the treasure discovered in Chiniot-Rajwa is not the property of 100 million people of Punjab but is of 180 million people of Pakistan.

According to the experts, he said, the reserves of iron ore and copper spread over 2000 square kilometre and Chinese and German experts will soon submit their final report. He said that destiny of the country and the nation will be changed through hard work, trust and honesty by benefiting from precious reserves of iron ore and copper. He said that the discovery of wind power corridors in Punjab is big news, adding that a Danish company has identified generation of electricity through wind at various places of Punjab.

QUAID-E-AZAM SOLAR PARK COMING YOUR WAY:

He said that the Punjab government has set up the first and biggest 100 megawatt solar project of the country from its own resources at Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park Bahawalpur which has been completed.

This is the first solar project in the history of the world which has been completed speedily and will soon start generating electricity,” he said. Mentioning projects of provision of facilities to the people and development of the province, he said that the culture of merit, transparency and speedy completion of development projects has been promoted in the province and no one can level allegation of corruption of even a single penny against us. He said that billions of rupees are being spent on the projects of public welfare, provision of education, health and other basic amenities to the masses. He said that provision of potable water will be ensured under Saaf Pani Project at all tehsils of Punjab by 2017.
