Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has said that the government is committed to resolve energy crisis. All sources including traditional and alternate are being used to overcome this crisis. As many as 4,000 schools will shifted to solar energy during next year. He said that the PML (N) government would rid the country of load shedding by 2017, which will help end unemployment and the economic crisis.
He expressed these views while addressing a seminar on the topic of “Energy Crisis in Pakistan, International Context and Potential Solutions,” organised by the Lahore Leads University on Thursday. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Munawar Sultana, energy experts, a large number of teachers, and students, were present on the occasion. Agreements for energy projects are being signed with several countries, including China, Turkey and Germany, he added.
