The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought a report from the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior within a week with respect to the recovery of Palestinian citizen Khalid Fatehai, who has gone missing from the jurisdiction of Golra police.

A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi took up for hearing Palestinian national Khalid Fatehai disappearance case.

Mirza Shahzad Akbar counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court and informed that Khalid Fatehai is residing in sector E-11 in the jurisdiction of Golra police at Islamabad since the last 30 years. Four unknown persons kidnapped him in January 2014 when he left his house for a morning walk.

Counsel for the petitioner further said that security agencies were contacted several times for the recovery of the Palestinian citizen and a report was also lodged in the Golra police station. However, he has not been recovered so far.

He told the court that the parties concerned had sought six weeks to file a reply in the court at the previous hearing. The police had also presented a report during the last hearing whereby it was informed that police used all its resources for the recovery of missing Palestinian citizen but they were still clueless about him.

The counsel for the petitioner prayed the court to summon the parties concerned as they are prolonging the case by using dilatory tactics.

Following the completion of arguments, the court issued the notices to the parties concerned, sought the reply from them within a week and adjourned the hearing of the case.
