Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed claimed on Monday that only army would take a final decision about Pakistan’s role in Saudi-led coalition against Yemen rebels.
“Anyone who thinks this Assembly can decide about Pakistan’s role in Yemen crisis is a fool. Today’s session is nothing but a formality, a photo session and government’s publicity campaign,” Sheikh Rasheed said while speaking to reporters outside the Parliament House.
He claimed that only army is decision-maker in current situation. “The government has no powers, this decision is to be taken by army chief General Raheel Sharif and his corps commanders.”
The AML chief, however, said that any breach of Saudi sovereignty would bring a strong response from Pakistan. “Each and every person from Pakistan will rise to safeguard Saudi Arab.”
