At least three militants were killed while four others sustained injuries in fresh Tirah airstrikes on Sunday.

As per official sources, the detained terrorists have been shifted to some undisclosed place after confiscating huge cache of weapons from their possession.

On the other hand, as many as two security personnel, who got severely injured in an exchange of firing between security forces and militants in Orakzai Agency, succumbed to injuries taking the death toll to three.

At least six officers sustained injuries however one embraced martyrdom in an encounter whereas the deceased officers were identified as Naik Yaseen, Naik Naveed and soldier Sultan.

Earlier, at least six suspected militants have been killed and several others injured when PAF jets pounded their hideouts in Khyber tribal region on Saturday morning.

In the meanwhile, Frontier Corps (FC) arrested at least 11 terrorists of banned organization from Kali Landi area of Kachlak on Sunday.

According to FC Inspector General (IG) Major General Sher Afgan, FC officials on a tip-off raided two houses and detained 11 terrorists of banned outfit including four suicide bombers who belong to Waziristan Lakki Marwat and Afghanistan.

The officials also confiscated suicide jackets, heavy amount of arms and explosives, motorcycle and walkie-talkie set from the possession of the terrorists and shifted them to undisclosed location for interrogation.

The IGFC also stated that the terrorists were planning a terrorist attack on a large scale but was foiled by timely action of intelligence officials.

Moreover he added that operation will continue until the complete uprooting of the terrorist.

Moreover, Frontier Corps Balochistan seized large quantity of hand grenades, rocket launchers and explosives in search operation in Marri Camp.

According to FC Spokesperson on information of intelligence agency FC raided secret dens of terrorist in banned organization in Marri Camp (Hazarganji) and confiscated large quantity of hand grenades, rocket launchers, fuses and explosives. These included 82 mm Mortar shells (42), detonators (67), rocket launchers (4) and explosive material (20 Kg). Seized arms and ammunition was to be used in and around Quetta for terrorist activities. However, FC foiled Balochistan particularly Quetta form a major disaster in its timely action.

KP COPS IN ACTION:

Furthermore, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa police arrested 3,882 Afghan nationals and 263 proclaimed offenders during search operation over the past three months in Peshawar while four outlaws were killed in firing with police.

Sources in the Peshawar Police said that those arrested included 16 important terrorists carrying head money and recovered 30 hand bombs and 17 kilogrammes of explosive material in addition to narcotics worth millions of rupees.

The sources said that the Afghan nationals arrested were staying in the provincial capital illegally. They pointed out that after the attack at Army Public School in Peshawar, the police carried out a comprehensive operation in and around Peshawar which led to the arrests. They said that there has been significant reduction in acts of terrorism since then.
