Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) wrapped up its national training camp in Islamabad, citing paucity of funds as one of the major reasons behind the closure. The PHF could not pay its players and coaches daily allowances. After this Hockey India (HI) offered financial help to Pakistan which was a very good gesture on their part.
President PHF Akhtar Rasool has made an emotional appeal to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to save the national game. I am sure that the Prime Minister will not look into this, and neither Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).
By the way, where is Malik Riaz now? He can take some meaningful action in this regard.
