A court in Gujranwala has issued death warrants for seven individuals convicted of killing brothers Mughees and Muneeb in Sialkot in 2010, according to sources.

The culprits are to be executed on April 8.

On September 20, 2011, Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Gujranwala sentenced seven individuals to death, six to life in prison and all policemen involved in the incident to three year imprisonment.

On August 15, 2010, a mob gathered in broad daylight in Buttran Wali, Sialkot, and lynched Mughees and Muneeb in full view of police officers, who made no attempts to stop the murder.

The bodies of the two brothers were dragged through the streets by the mob, who labelled them robbers. The bodies were then hanged against a water tank. The villagers were about to set the bodies on fire when family members of brothers reached the spot and took them home. Later, no police records were found of Mughees and Muneeb, who were both students.

  1. Alhamdulillah, If this is true. Those culprits act the most barbarian assault on these brothers and we have been wishing for long to see them all punished. Now the innocents spirits will be more anxiously waiting for their murderers to be punished as told and the day they will hang will be the day of emerging from the dome of injustice.

  2. Murderers in this case must be hanged immediately. The supporters of murderers may try to compromise and seek for forgiveness.

  3. Mob justice must be put to an end and so the punishment to the 13 (7deaths and 6 life) must go ahead , if they are in true spirit of justice with no flaws, at the same time policemen punished, was also needed though a severe punishment was required. It has been observed like in lynching of two Christians man and wife in kot Radha Krishan, who were poor brick kiln workers, police knew before hand but did not bother to stop the killing, police must be taught a lesson with more severe punishments.

  4. hurrhhhayyyyyyy insaf hoaaaa ,,, shukar hay …… ayenda in logo ko pata hoga kay kisi ki batoon main nahein ana aur kisi ko bi guna ghar day kar sulee chara dooo…. isi leya baray boray kehtay thay .k.. pehlay socho phir samjo phir karo

  5. Police deserve worse punishment than the actual murderers, cheap cowards, if possible sansaar seems right punishment, these cowards should be made example for other police workers, then no policeman will allow such activity, only brave and just should work for justice.

  6. please please Hurry up Hurry up the time has come for the Evils to go to Hell why they killed innocent gentle talented Hafiz e Quran Brothers so Brutally why why why why Please send these culprits as soon as possible to Hell this is what is allowed in Quran in Islam they must be hanged So no one should say in future that there is no justice in Pakistan Dear Nawaz Sharif Dear ShahbaZ Sharif Dear Attorney general of Pakistan please give justice to the victim otherwise the history will not forgive you this is an Appeal from UK from a British Pakistani Muslim

  7. Only three years for police officers but I believe they are the main culprits it was their responsibility to save those boys they could have stopped this brutality I can still feel the pain and anger which I felt four years ago.

  8. Thank God
but bohat dair sy justice mila . sub ko hang kerna chahiye jo dekh ker khamosh thy woh bhi jurm main baraber k shareek thy.. Mujhy sakoon mila tu soochoo gher walon ko kitna sakoon mila hoga . main aksar in bachon ko yaaf kerti thi n i cried over them . Poor Souls

  9. At last justice is being done. But the policemen who were silent onlookers, and one of the also patted the killer on his back, should also be hanged. By failing to prevent this heinous crime they are equally guilty of the innocent brothers' deaths.

  10. Your comment… Me karachi se hn me bhi in k dukh me shariq hn khuda ka shukar he un begunah masoom bhaiyon ko insaf mila Allah pak un k maa bap ko sabar e jalil ataa farmay Ameen

  11. the only way to fight these kind of things is to educate people. there is an old saying that "mob has no brain". we need to improve literacy so that people should awake themselves from great slumber and know what they are doing…

    • Yes literacy must come but after retribution. Three years sentence for police is a joke. They deserve an exemplary punishment. 10 years + thousand lashes with in ten years of incarceration. Most of them are abetters of criminals.

  12. wow, that is just amazing. 7 culprits would be hanged on April 8, 2015. I have started counting time now and anxiously waiting to see when this happen. This is so good for the country.

I see that some of the people above are complaining about "JUSTICE NOT BEING DONE". But I am still optimistic as for a country like Pakistan even this much is not small. Had this been happened in USA this would have been the breaking news.

I am confident that inshallah no one will ever try to take law in their hands. After phone camera's and media report its highly unlikely that anyone can repeat this mistake ever again.

    God Bless Pakistan !!!

  13. I saw a report on this case and the scholar or imam of the mosque in that area had swear upon Qur'an that those brothers were robber and were involved in many robbery incidents. He also said that he is an eye witness too. Allah knows best wether they were innocent or not but killing them like this so brutally in front of everyone is so wrong.
As I have seen the video and what I think that was a setup and those boys were innocent. Those policemen standing there and did nothing totally proves that there was some kind of mob or another strong political party that allowed them to stand their and watch and other men to beat them to death.
If those men were real culprits and are exposed then their executions or hangings must be public or like the same way as they did to those poor souls.
