Ordering the government to legislate on the paramilitary forces personnel within four months, a three-judge Supreme Court (SC) bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk, dismissed the Frontier Constabulary (FC) commandant’s appeal and ordered reinstatement of 600 FC personnel who were terminated for not obeying the commandant’s orders.
During the hearing, Hafiz SA Rehman argued that his clients had not disobeyed the court and they were terminated without any paper work. He further said that FC personnel even were not issued any show cause notice before terminating them while the Peshawar High Court (PHC) had already ordered in favour of the court.
