A Sessions Court on Tuesday reserved a verdict over the matter of power of attorney of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chair Imran Khan’s counsel Babar Awan in the defamation case filed by ex-chief justice (CJ) of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

The hearing of the defamation case was presided over by Justice Tanvir Mir. Iftikhar Chaudhry’s counsel said that PTI’s Babar Awan is prejudiced towards Chaudhry.

The court reserved its verdict over the matter for the time being.

Chaudhry had filed a defamation suit against Khan for naming him an assistant to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government in alleged rigging in the General Election 2013.
