Slavery alive and well thanks to PPP leader

A leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Monday forced his farmer to sell three of his daughters for the payment of a Jirga’s money.

The incident took place in Garhi Village near Thul when a member of PPP Sindh Council Imdad Ali sold out three daughters of his farmer Kadar Baksh to pay the fine of Rs 1.1 million to the Jirga.

14-year-old Noor Banu, 8-year-old Kaz Banu and 2-year-old Zameeran were sold to Sultan and Abdul Hameed for Rs 500,000 whereas the parents were also beaten up by the PPP leader over their resistance.
