KHAIRPUR:
At least 13 people including women were killed and fifteen wounded in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a truck near Khairpur district’s Setharja area on Wednesday.
Rescue and security teams reached the accident site. Locals assisted the rescue personnel in shifting the victims to a nearby hospital.
An emergency was declared at the Khairpur Civil Hospital where doctors confirmed that 13 people had died and 15 others, including women and children, were wounded in the mishap.
Sources said that the driver of the fast-moving bus, travelling from Islamabad to Karachi, lost control of the vehicle which caused it to crash into a truck coming from the opposite direction.
