Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi announced he was tremendously proud of actor-model Zhalay Sarhadi for not “taking off her clothes” in Jalaibee.

The actor made a statement about the recently released crime-caper film on his Facebook page. Abbasi said he was also proud of director Yasir Jaswal for not carrying an ‘item number’ in the movie.

The actor appreciated Jaswal for not going along with the emerging trend of revealing item numbers in Pakistani films. The film, after its release on 37 sights and 71 screens across the country, earned a total of approximately Rs10 million (exact figures yet to be compiled) on its opening day.

The figures were confirmed by ARY Films, the movie’s distributor. This is also the biggest opening for any non-holiday/festival release in Pakistan so far.

Hamza’s statement came a day after teaser of Ayesha Omar’s item number made headlines.

  1. Oh please!!! You guys need to get out of your sick minds… its a showbiz its entertainment… keep your religion out of it… we are sick and tired of mullas minds and thought… no one is getting spoiled due to item numbers… and anyways people like you have raised pakistan’s name on top of the list of countries searching for porn on Web. ..if you like it watch it or else do not watch it… but keep ur mullaism out of cinema…

  2. Disagree!!! Its Pakistan where u can even talk like this. Can u build a mosque for sunnis in Iran? Can u celebrate any festival according to sunni sects in Saudia? Its only Pakistan where nudism and parda both are allowed. We have taken very wrong meanings of azadi. We did not deserve. Did anyone of us publicly in favor of B grade movies even? I think in future ppl came with views, " Ok, let B grade movies be also allowed, if anyone don't want to see, he should not".
O pls, this is not a matter of who wants to see and who does not want to see. Its a matter of what our country giving message to outside world. Is Pakistan a state of liberalism? No man pls wake up. Dont blame all times to mullas. They have done very wrong already. We have some responsibilities now. Dont be maadar pidar azaad nation. Its not your cup of tea. basically this is very wrong argument that whoever wants to see is allowed and who did not want to see, its his will. Islam did not teach this to us. There is no where written that ENTERTAINMENT is out of religion so go beyond any limits. Islam has its limits all over the sectors of life.

  3. I believe entertainment doesn’ t mean to take off clothes and present vulgarity. We can find decent ways of entertaining and amusing people. Being muslims we must remain within our limits.
