Balochistan sports festival inaugurated

Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai inaugurated the week-long Balochistan Sports Festival at Ayub Stadium on Sunday.
Southern Command Commander Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua, provincial ministers and people from all walks of life were also present on the occasion.
Local folk and cultural programmes including item of folk dance by the children clad in traditional dresses were presented during the inaugural ceremony. The spectators evinced their keen interest in programmes of the inaugural ceremony and enjoyed the gala.
The festival is being held in connection with celebrations of Pakistan Day during which competitions of various games will be held in which the renowned players from across the province will take part.
Strict security arrangements have been made and heavy contingents of Balochistan Frontier Corps, police and other law enforcement agencies are deployed in and around the venue of the festival.
