Indian batsman Virat Kohli may be the star on the cricket pitch, and rumour has it that the good-looking cricketer may be seen on the big screen if producer-director Arbaaz Khan has his way, NDTV reported on Saturday.

“He has presented himself very well, he is good looking. He may not be the conventional hero material but he has a huge female fan following,” said Arbaaz at an event in Mumbai.

When Arbaaz was asked who he would cast opposite Kohli, his answer was “Anushka Sharma.”

Anushka is the Bollywood starlet that Kohli often blows flying kisses to through with bat during matches. Earlier this week, he was caught up in a riff with a journalist in India when he wrongfully accused him of writing negative articles about his girlfriend.

Since then, Kohli has been under heavy media scrutiny.

According to The Times of India’s sources, Team Director Ravi Shastri personally spoke to Kohli and advised him to keep his cool as it is improper for a future India captain to behave in this manner publicly.
