Six fall prey to violence

As many as six persons were killed and seven others injured in different violence incidents on Tuesday.

Three unidentified persons, aged around 30 to 40, were found dead in the area of National Highway link road in Memon Goth. According to rescue sources, the deceased were first tortured and then gunned down by unidentified armed men. The bodies were brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for autopsy. The deceased could not be identified yet.

In another incident, a man, Pir Mohammad, 45, son of Mandu, and a woman, Allah Bachai, 40, wife of Mohammad Ishaq, were shot dead over a domestic issue in Sachal Goth area.

The cause of the killings was stated to be a personal enmity. In this clash, Pir Mohammad died on the spot, while Allah Bachai succumbed to injuries at JPMC. In yet another incident, the body of Dr Syed Qasim, son of Syed Mehboob Shah, was found on Hub-Sakran road. It was shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained yet.

Separately, five persons, Shakeel, 35, Abdul Rauf, Mouqee Khan, and two other unidentified men, were shot and injured during a clash between two groups near Gulbai on Northern Bypass. The injured were rushed to CHK for treatment. Meanwhile, a youth, Imtiaz, 20, son of Mohammad Murtaza, was shot and injured by unidentified armed men near Chishti Nagar in OrangiTown. He was shifted to AbbasiShaheedHospital for treatment.

Furthermore, a youth, Munawar, 28, son of Anwar, was shot at and injured by gunmen near Imambargah in Baldia. He was brought to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
