An Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Faisalabad has admitted a plea for a prosecution hearing against 71 accused persons allegedly involved in the murder case of PTI worker Haq Nawaz.

The court has summoned Atta Muhammad Khan, brother of deceased Haq Nawaz, and other witnesses of prosecution, to record their statements on March 3, 2015.

Atta Muhammad, brother of deceased PTI worker, said that his brother Haq Nawaz was slain brutally on December 8, 2014, and the FIR was lodged in the Sammanabad police station against former provincial law minister Rana Sana Ullah, his son in law Rana Shehr Yar, DCO Noor ul Amin Mengal, DSP Malik Khalid Awan and other persons who were involved in the murder of his brother.

He further said that the police declared Rana Sana Ullah, DCO Noorul Amin Mengal and other influential persons innocent under pressure, which is sheer injustice with the plaintiff. He prayed that the accused named by the prosecution be arrested and be tried under the anti-terrorism act so that the norms of justice could be met.

The Faisalabad police has not only declared innocent, but also discharged the people who were named as the prime accused under the FIR.
