Three fall prey to violence

As many as three persons were killed in two violence incidents on Friday.

Two persons, Saleem Asghar, 45, son of Muhammad Ali Asghar, and Syed Ali Haider, 32, son of Muhammad Naqi, were killed by unknown armed men near Ghosia Masjid in Orangi Town No 5. The bodies were shifted to AbbasiShaheedHospital for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, Molana Yasir, 27, son of Meer Samad, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Taha Masjid in Safoora Chorangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy. The motive behind killing could not be ascertained yet.

TWO KILLED, TWO INJURED IN ACCIDETNS

Two persons were killed and two others injured in separate road mishaps on Friday.

A youth, Shahi Rehman, 20, son of Kareem, died when a speedy vehicle hit him as he was crossing the road near Makki Masjid in Garden area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

In another incident, a man, Muhammad Khan, 60, son of Noor Wali, died when a fast-moving vehicle hit him in Landhi area. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities.

Yet in another incident, a man and his wife, aged about 32 and 40, were seriously injured when a vehicle hit them near Dilpasand Sweets in Board Office area, Nazimabad. Both were brought to AbbasiShaheedHospital for treatment.

According to rescue sources, both were in serious condition.

TWO SUSPECTED TERRORISTS OF SHIKARPUR ATTACK ARRESTED

Two suspected terrorists of the Shikarpur imambargah attack were arrested from interior Sindh on Friday, police official said.

Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Saqib Ismail Saleem told media representatives that the terrorists were arrested after being identified by already arrested suspects during interrogation.

He said suicide jackets, explosives and weapons were also recovered from the terrorists. Saleem claimed that the arrested terrorists gave refuge to the suicide attackers in their house.

At least 61 people including children were killed when a suicide blast ripped through an imambargah during Friday prayers in Shikarpur on January 31.
