The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday disposed of the petition against the national cricket team’s miserable defeat at the World Cup 2015 and advised the petitioner to refer the case to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) instead.

Justice Ejazul Hasan commenced the case proceedings of the case in which Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan and Najam Sethi were held party.

It was maintained in the petition that the team selection was based on personal like and dislike while merit was downrightly neglected. The petition urged the court to probe team’s poor performance.

It was further pleaded that Najam Sethi and other officials should be barred from work.

The court disposed of the case and advised to refer the case to PCB.
