KARACHI-
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon on Thursday said that the case of Shikarpur blast will be sent to a military court for a speedy trial.
Families of the 61 people, who were killed in a suicide bombing targeting a Shiite mosque in Shikarpur on January 30, had staged a sit-in outside the CM house and demanded an operation in the city.
Memon, addressing a press conference along with Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, announced that families of the Shikarpur blast victims will get given Rs2 million as compensation.
Shah assured that an operation- led by the police and Rangers- would be carried out in Shikarpur.
Memon added that the Karachi operation will be expanded to other areas of Sindh to wipe out terrorist activity.
