Beaconhouse organised an art competition featuring the work of young artists from 10 countries and 200 schools. Senior school students from Beaconhouse Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Sialkot, Hyderabad, as well as students from The City School, LACAS, Bloomfield Hall, LGS, Dar-e-Arqam and SISA participated in the competition.

The contest was hosted by Beaconhouse-Newlands and had two categories: an exhibition of pre-submitted artwork entitled “Young Canvas” and a live art competition titled “Mussawir”. The total number of submissions received was more than 600. The event was judged by renowned artists R M Naeem, Sadaf Naeem and Ayesha Durrani.

The event celebrates students’ creativity and artistic expression and provides a wider forum through which they can showcase their talent. Beaconhouse recognises the positive impact such activities have on learning beyond the classroom and ensures that its students are actively involved in such events.
