President Mamnoon Hussain describing Pakistan and China as “iron brothers” on Thursday said that Pakistan fully supports Chinese efforts against the three evils of terrorism, extremism and separatism.
While welcoming Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on his first official visit to Pakistan as foreign minister, the president stated that the people of Pakistan were eagerly looking forward to welcome the president of China to Pakistan, as his visit would be the hallmark of the Year of Friendly Exchanges between the two countries.
The president highlighted that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was a transformative project for the entire region, a press release issued from the president’s office said. He also stated that the government had put in place foolproof security arrangements for the security of Chinese working in Pakistan.
The president expressed desire for the speedy implementation of all the agreed projects. He said that the operation Zarb-e-Azb was in full swing and had produced positive results as all terrorist organizations were being targeted, irrespective of their agenda.
The Chinese foreign minister appreciated the visionary leadership of President Mamnoon Hussain and expressed his wishes for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
