DUBAI-

A Sindh police team, led by  Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaja, and comprising of SSP Crime Investigation Department (CID) Usman Bajwa and DSP Kharadar Zahid Hussain, arrived in Dubai Thursday to bring home the notorious gang-lord Uzair Jan Baloch.

“We are in seamless touch with the Interpol and the government of United Arab Emirates (UAE). Baloch will be handed over to Pakistan after a tedious legal process. It is imperative for us to fulfill all the mandatory requirements before the absconder is deported,” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Naveed Khawaja told a private news channel upon his arrival at Dubai airport.

Baloch was arrested last month by the Interpol in Dubai, when he was attempting to cross into the United Arab Emirates from Oman. According to sources, he  was travelling on a fake Iranian passport with his name listed as Abdul Ghani Khuda Bukhsh.

Interpol had issued red warrants for two key figures of the Lyari gang-wars, Uzair Baloch and Noor Mohammad alias Baba Ladla, on June 11, 2014.
