IGP orders strict security for educational institutes

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Haider Jamali on Wednesday visited the government and private schools in the city and reviewed collective security measures.

He came to Gulshan-e-IqbalSchool where a cracker was thrown some days back and instructed police to take strict security measures in the area. He instructed the police officers to ensure the arrest of elements involved in cracker blast and bring them to justice.

Jamali instructed that the implementation of prepared security plan of schools and other educational institutes should be ensured strictly and in this regard, contact with related DIGs, SSPs of districts and other stakeholders should be ensured for security measures.

He instructed police officers to take the school administration into the confidence and ensure installation of security monitoring cameras, issuance of special entry cards to male and female students, teachers and others staff and removal of elimination of possible encroachment from main entrance of schools. He instructed that the patrolling and random snap checking for all educational institutes.
