The government has decided to computerise all the arms licenses in Rawalpindi district like other parts of Punjab to deal with the menace of terrorism.

Punjab Home Department has issued direction to DCO in this connection. In the first phase, licenses issued between 2009 to 2014 will be computerised. The arms branch in DCO office has already started checking the record of licenses issued during this period.

After computerisation of record with the cooperation of NADRA, computerised cards for arms will be issued instead of licenses which are issued in the form of book. The federal government will provide software for the computerization of arms record.
