Two killed, five injured in Karachi violence

Two persons were killed and five others injured in separate violent incidents here on Monday.

A youth, Sultan, 26, son of Gul Muhammad, was gunned down by unknown armed men near Chanesar Goth in Mehmoodabad. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained yet.

In another incident, a youth, Ghulam Qadir, 28, son of Allah Wadaich, was stabbed to death in Sohrab Goth. The body was shifted to JPMC for an autopsy. The motive behind the killing was reported as a personal animosity.

Yet in another incident, two youths, Muhammad Farooq, 19, son of Haneef, and Ibrahim, 18, son of Haji Awran, both residents of Orangi town, were shot and injured by unknown armed men near Raheem Shah Colony in Orangi town. They were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.

Another youth, Yousuf Masih, 21, son of Bashir, was injured by firing from unknown armed men near Double Road in Surjani Town. He was shifted to ASH for treatment.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan, 30, son of Khan Muhammad, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Ranchor Line. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for treatment.

Furthermore, Shair Muhammad, 40, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Old Sabzi Mandi. The injured was shifted to Liaquat National Hospital for treatment.

ACCIDENTS

Gul Bahar, 25, son of Haji Jalal, resident of Baldia, was killed when a fast-moving vehicle hit his motorcycle near Lasi Para, Sawat Colony in Baldia town. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a youth, Syed Sajjid, 20, son of Abdul Bari, resident of Quaidabad, was killed when a fast moving train hit him near Landhi railway track in Dawood Chowrangi. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

Yet in another incident, a youth called Noman, 24, son of Akbar, resident of Punjab Chowrangi, was injured when a fast-moving vehicle hit him near Bismillah Hotel in Pak Colony. The injured was rushed to CHK for treatment.
