IHC allows Alvi to become party in PTI petition on overcharging of electricity bills
Islamabad High Court (IHC) has allowed Advocate Abdul Rehman S Alvi to become party in the petition filed by PTI against overcharging of electricity bills by power distribution companies.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Athar Minallah took up Asad Omar case for hearing Wednesday.
The petitioner has challenged overcharging of electricity bills by power distribution companies and non implementation of detailed report of cabinet committee.
The petitioner Abdul Rehman Alvi advocate appeared in the court and took the plea that PTI MNAs including Asad Omar, Dr Shireen Mazari and Dr Arif Alvi had challenged the overbilling by power distribution companies therefore, he also be allowed to become party as per constitution in the petition filed by PTI leaders.
The court while accepting the plea allowed him to become party in Asad Omar case and adjourned hearing of the case indefinitely.
